Can human movement mimic the natural world? How does the experience of such movement teach us the value in working slowly and with balance, especially while living in an urban environment? Dancers-choreographers Corinne Cappelletti and Eva Perrotta unfurl the answers to these questions with their collaborative performance piece, IMPRINT: OnebyOne. Rooted in somatic practice, OnebyOne is a study of growth, lived experience, and self-discovery that encompasses sound, touch, movement, and bits of nature. Each performance is interactive and seeks to create a collective experience of awakening awareness. OnebyOne premieres on April 17th and 18th at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn. In this interview, Corinne talks in depth about the history, process, and future plans for the project.
